Not seeing something that you hoped to deliver to your team? Don’t worry! We can work together to customize and create an offering that is unique to your organization’s specific professional development needs.
- “Authentic Leadership in the Virtual World” – A training geared for leaders of all levels on how to elevate their own leadership styles and promote positive engagement of staff, especially when supervising teams remotely. This presentation draws heavily from other leadership concepts such as Kim Scott’s “Radical Candor”, Brené Brown's "Dare to Lead", and the “Servant Leadership” philosophy.
- “Beyond Grief and Loss” – A deeper exploration of the universal nature of grief and the shared experience of loss through conversations intended to normalize these processes and discuss how to best attempt to harness the transformational powers of grief for ourselves and for those we support.
- "Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging - An Introduction" - This 101-styled workshop will explore what exactly is meant by diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging and will introduce several key concepts and topics in order to prepare participants for ongoing discussions and future learnings.
- "Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging - Part 2" - In Part 2 of the DEI&B training series, topics such as unconscious bias, microaggressions, and cultural humility are explored more in depth. This training also provides guidance and suggestions around disrupting unconscious bias, strategies for responding to microaggressions, and building more inclusive environments.
- “The Four Fatigues of COVID-19” – A review of the various ways that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted healthcare providers and clients of all ages across multiple life domains (the "Four Fatigues"). The impact on families, both of the provider and of the individuals served, will also be discussed. Strategies to build resiliency and enhance self-care will be shared as providers navigate the challenges of balancing their clients’ needs with their own wellness. Finally, we will provide insights, thoughts, and tips within the areas of telehealth, compliance with COVID safety standards, remote safety planning, managing our time in the virtual space, and balancing provider personal demands with the professional realities of providing client care in a global pandemic.
- "Rediscovering Vertical: Thriving in the Fatigues of COVID-19" - Part II of "The Four Fatigues of COVID-19". It's been a long and grueling marathon along the COVID race “course” that we've been running since March of 2020. As we start to round the bend and can see the finish line ahead, we must prepare ourselves for what is waiting for us after this journey ends and the steps towards a “cool down” period begins. Through a process of thoughtful reflection, this workshop will review the impacts that chronic stress, trauma, and grief and loss have had on our collective wellness and will seek to validate the current experience of post-crisis “drain”. This workshop will identify the new set of resiliency strategies that are now required as we begin the process of healing our bodies and our minds as we attempt to rediscover our “vertical” selves in a new post-COVID world.
- “Suicide Prevention and Stigma Reduction” – Intended for all audiences, this training will provide teams with a basic overview of suicide prevention and intervention strategies including myth-busting, warning signs, safety planning approaches, and how to decrease stigma for those who are struggling with behavioral health needs.
- “Supporting LGBTQIA+ Individuals” – A combined 101 and 201 training tailored for your work force (social workers/clinicians, health care professionals, educators, as well as private or public sector teams) who are looking to better support LGBTQIA+ individuals accessing services and entering your workforce. This training will provide an overview of terms and concepts and will focus on how to combat disparities for this population by increasing competencies for staff in the areas of trans-affirming practices and LGBTQIA+ representation.
- "Transgender Inclusion" - Organizations of all types are increasingly striving to create more inclusive settings for their gender diverse clients, customers, stakeholders, and staff alike. With a focus on defining key terms and concepts and sharing important steps to enhance inclusion, this presentation is customized to focus exclusively on transgender and gender diverse individuals and can be tailored to apply to any organization or participant group (such as businesses as well as families/caregivers), not specifically in the health care sectors.
- "Trauma-Informed Care" - Increasing attention is being paid to the concepts of trauma-informed care and not just in traditional health care settings either. More and more organizations of all types and sizes are seeking strategies to create spaces that are supportive of staff and consumers alike and are conducive to wellness and growth for all. This workshop will introduce the core concepts of trauma-informed care and will provide valuable information for attendees around how our early experiences with adversity coupled with our current realities of the stressors around us can have serious implications on the wellness of ourselves and of those who depend on us.
- "Reconciling Expectations and Redefining Guiderails: Educational and Social Considerations for Children in a Post-Pandemic World" - For the last 3+ years, COVID-19 has appropriately dominated discussions around child development, parenting, supporting education, and the behavioral health and social needs of youth. As we approach a post-pandemic world, it’s essential that we now acknowledge how we defended our “bubbles” during the pandemic and discuss our approaches to these issues now that the global pandemic has shifted. We must seek to discover what our new realities will be in the future? And, here’s what makes this challenging: We still don’t know this answer! While youth have absolutely experienced significant needs during the pandemic, parents, caregivers, educators, and providers have also been impacted to a high degree. This interactive session will review where we’ve collectively been and provide some suggestions about where we might be going in the months and years ahead as we work to continue to support youth in a post-pandemic word.
